Their favorite part of the day this week is when we are Going on a Bear Hunt!! We played with play dough and painted with muddy little bears.

We read The Busy Tree and talked about all the animals we might see in the forest. We made B in sign language, tapped out our B song, and talked about words that begin with B. We also learned how to say ball, blue, and bear in sign language. We went on a Bear Hunt and foil finger painted with a leaf under the foil. We also took crayons and paper to the playground to offer something different to write with since chalk has been so popular lately. We also shared our VIP'S poster.

Forest

It's B week and our Theme is Forest. It's also a new month so that means a new calendar pattern and a new Nursery Rhyme. Yesterday, we colored a poster of our September Nursery Rhyme. We also painted a forest using green paint and kitchen/bathroom scrubbers! We received a grandparent card in the mail and a special treat from C's Gigi. She thought the kiddos would enjoy decorating cookies for a special snack. They loved it! Thank you! We also welcomed another new friend! We are so happy to have you as part of our PLA Family!

Apples

Friday, we made homemade applesauce! You can see pictures on our Facebook page.  We read Ten Apples Up On Top, drew a picture of us, and then stuck red circle apple stickers up on top. We also discovered our new painted playground boards make awesome chalk boards!
