Christmas - Wednesday

We made Christmas trees with paper tube and fingerprint lights. We also used our hand to make a reindeer! Our VIP shared his poster and one of his favorite toys.

Christmas

We added jingle bells to our paintbrushes and painted beautiful pictures!  We also made and decorated Christmas Trees and Gingerbread Men with our play dough and buttons. When our buttons were dropped we practiced our teamwork skills and picked them up in record time! Bells were a fun addition to our magnet blocks! We had a request for musical chairs during music and movement time and thank goodness for some sunshine!!

Christmas

We did a candy cane science experiment. We put candy canes in 4 different liquids to see which would dissolve the fastest. We used water, vinegar, rubbing alcohol, and baby oil. We first made our predictions and the majority of the children thought the rubbing alcohol would dissolve it the fastest. To all of our surprise it and the baby oil hasn't dissolved at all!  Water and vinegar were about even.
We made candy cane ornaments with pipe cleaner and beads. The older children easily made a pattern with their beads. Miss Coli from the Library came in and did a reindeer felt story and read a Christmas book. She left coloring pages that some of the children colored during table time.

Trains

We read Train is on Track. We made name trains and did a lot of what we do best... PLAY! Have a wonderful weekend! Next week is our last week before Christmas break. Our party is on Friday. We are asking all children to bring a wrapped $5.00 book for our game gift exchange. If you are unable to do this, please, let me know and I will purchase one for your child.
