Apples

It's P week and our theme is Apples! I love this theme there are so many activities you can do with apples! We turned our kitchen/house area into an Apple Orchard/Market. This was a very popular place today! We made art with the colors of apples using red, yellow, and green crayons, markers, paint, and paint dobbers. We loved our playground time... the weather was beautiful! We learned a fun song called Ring Around the Apple Tree I posted a couple videos on our Facebook page. We also welcomed a new friend today!

Autumn/Fall

We read Squirrels Busy Day. We sang our ABC song and The Autumn Leaf song. We made leaves 2 ways 1 was magic leaves, and the other was hot glue lined leaves. Our Fall tree in the hall has all of our beautiful leaf creations from the week and it is beautiful! We received a new toy for our Math Center and Kitchen Center with a few more surprises on the way... thanks to Zulily and their sale on Melissa and Doug items!

Autumn/Fall

We read an early science book about trees and the different seasons. I asked them to look for signs of Fall on their way home and back to school tomorrow and let me know what they observed at Circle Time. We sang-

We practiced writing D on the white board and for Table Time we added fall leaves to a printed tree. We used 8 qtips rubber banded together for our leaves. They look really cute!

We received 3 more grandparent letters! We hung them in our hall if you would like to read them. We will send them home in a couple weeks.
