We read The Great Easter Egg Hunt. For table time we did something I had never done before... painted with jellybeans!! This is definitely something we will do again. We sorted all the jellybeans by color in small plastic cups. Next we added warm water, the kiddos thought they needed a little stir so we stirred them up. Finally we melted all the color off of the jellybeans and we used it like watercolor. It smelled good, well except the black. The kiddos did not like the way the black smelled. A few of them even needed to do a little taste. It was just jellybeans and water so it was fine. What a fun sensory activity and the paintings were light, but shiny! We also rolled plastic eggs in red and blue paint and shook them in a tub to paint a piece of paper.
