Thursday we read Tops and Bottoms by Janet Stevens. Another one of my favorites about a smart, hard working hare and a lazy bear! For our group activity we went out to the front of the building and planted the wild flowers Big Emilea received from Honey Nut Cherrios. We had to be very good listeners and stay close... they did an awesome job! Our VIP shared his poster, letter, and one of his favorite toys. His grandma and baby cousin came in to read some of his favorite books and had lunch with us. It was also his Birthday so his mom and grandma came in to have Birthday cookies with us. Thank you all for coming and making his day so special!

Gardens, Worms, & Seeds
We read The Tiny Seed and planted flowers today. We had a lot of fun playing and we were not happy about all of the rain!! No playground time, but we did have fun in the Motor Room!
Gardens, Worms, and Seeds
We read one of my very favorite books Whose Garden is it? Ask your kiddos about the book and see who they think the garden belongs to. We had a very good group discussion about it :) For table time we are going to see if we can make a bean or popcorn kernel grow with only water and sun.
Gardens, Worms, & Seeds
Monday we read Grow Flower Grow. A little girl thought her flower needed food... pizza, hamburger, and ice cream. The flower wouldn't grow so she threw it outside. Once it got water and sun light it grew into a beautiful flower! We made flower art using green leaves, glue, and paint.
