The talk of leprechaun traps started as soon as the calendar turned to March. The older kiddos remember building traps from previous years and their excitement trickles down to the rest of the class! Monday we discussed different ways they could catch a leprechaun and we drew a picture of what we would like our traps to look like. Miss Coli came and read to us and did a felt board story. One of our friends just returned from vacation and shared some pictures and treasures from Florida.
Yesterday we started the trap making process. This is one of my favorite days!! I love to sit back and watch the process, you hear ideas flying, you see teamwork, and problem solving. Our job is to follow their lead, they ask how to make a ladder we give ideas and their eyes light up!
