Eggs

This week we will be learning about oviparous animals. We read What's Inside the Egg? We learned about a few animals that hatch from eggs and named as many things as we could think of. We also had a discussion about bats, because one of the kiddos named a bat when we talked about all birds hatching from eggs. We talked about how bats are not birds, but mammals and do not lay eggs. This led to a bat discussion, because this group loves bats! (So do I... anything that eats up to 1,000 mosquitoes a night is a pretty cool if you ask me!) So if your kiddo came home talking about things that hatch from eggs and bats now you know why!
We started a science experiment today. We are turning an egg into a rubber egg by putting it in a jar of vinegar!
