Eggs

We read Chickens Aren't the Only Ones. We taught Big Emilea a new word today... she did not know that animals that lay eggs are called oviparous. We practiced our cutting skills by cutting out pictures of animals from our cool MO Conservation magazines donated to us by K's grandma! Thank you so much! We then sorted our animals by Oviparous or Not Oviparous. They loved this so much they asked to cut again during afternoon free choice. They are having so much fun exploring eggs! We also brought in our incubator with eggs today. They were started on Thursday, April 20th and we could start seeing them hatch as early as May 10th! It normally takes 21 days but can happen as early as 19 or as late as 23. We also celebrated a Birthday today! Thank you for sharing cupcakes with us, and Happy Birthday!
